Japan's Digitization: Evolution of Technology and Outlook for the Future
Digital Transformation, or DX as it is commonly known, has been a political buzzword and one of the flagship policies of consecutive administrations in Japan. Digitization is a complex and multi-layered challenge for not only the government but the whole country as to how to effectively bring businesses, central and local governments, public services, and society on board to utilize the benefits of digital technology effectively in an aging society. Digital transformation is key to maintaining Japan’s international competitiveness as well as to successfully addressing the challenges posed by an ageing and shrinking labour force.
GR Japan has the pleasure of inviting you to the next IPF seminar, “Japan's Digitization: Evolution of Technology and Outlook for the Future,” with Mr. Masaaki Taira, member of the House of Representatives serving his sixth term representing the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).
Mr. Taira is renowned for his exceptional knowledge of technology policy and the digital field. He is the LDP’s brain behind many policy initiatives in the digital realm, including Japan’s standard-setting crypto policy and regulation on the cryptocurrency market. He previously served as the State Minister of the Cabinet Office in 2019, overseeing IT policy, science, and technology innovation, and has held various IT-related positions within the LDP.
At our next IPF, we will explore the challenges and opportunities Japan faces in the era of digitization, hearing directly from Mr. Taira about his insights and perspectives on policy directions and Japan’s way forward in the digital age.
Please join us for this insightful seminar with Mr. Taira, a trailblazer in Japan's cutting-edge digital policy.
We look forward to seeing you at the event.
