Japan has seen a rapid deteoriating security environment in recent years manifested in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, China's growing military presence in the East China Sea, accelerated tensions in and around the Taiwan strait, and North Korea's repeated missile launches.

GR Japan is pleased to welcome Mr. Hiroyuki Miyazawa, former Parliamentary Vice Minister of Defense, and a member of the House of Representatives, who, as the chairman of the LDP's National Defense Committee, led the Cabinet to approve the revised "National Security Strategy," "National Defense Strategy," and "Defense Force Development Plan," (the so-called three security documents) last December.

We hope that you will join us to listen to Mr. Miyazawa's insights on the LDP's sense of crisis regarding national defense, the three defense documents and their revised contents, and the future of discussions on financial resources, as well as to have a lively exchange of views on the ideal form of national defense in the future.

We look forward to your participation.
