Japan’s new Financial Services Strategy signals a shift from encouraging household investment toward building a broader capital cycle that channels private and institutional funds into corporate growth and the country’s 17 strategic fields.
The strategy calls for stronger roles for financial institutions, asset owners and companies, alongside reforms to financial markets and corporate governance.
