A 100-member delegation left Japan to participate in the Trans-Pacific Parternship (TPP) negotiations that began last week in Malaysia. Led by Deputy Foreign Minister Koji Tsuruoka, the delegation also consists of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Japan is expected to participate in the talks starting tomorrow, 23 July, to discuss trade liberalization rules along with negotiations on market access.
