GR Japan Meeting Room 301

GR Japan is pleased to welcome Seiji Maehara, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to our last IPF breakfast meeting of the year. Mr. Maehara will discuss his policies and ideas in the area of redistribution – particularly how to achieve his idea of the “All for All” society, connecting the economy with the social welfare system, and providing support for all by sharing the burden with all. He will also share his views on the current administration’s policy initiatives.

Mr. Maehara, a member of the House of Representatives since 1993, was leader of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) from 2005 to 2006, and later served as Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy under the administrations of Yukio Hatoyama, Naoto Kan and Yoshihiko Noda. He is now a member of the Democratic Party For the People, and continues to make use of his wide experience of government and policy-making.

Prior to Mr. Maehara’s presentation, Jakob Edberg, President & CEO of GR Japan, will provide his analysis of the current extraordinary Diet session.

Please join us for this opportunity to exchange opinions with one of Japan’s boldest politicians.
