GR Japan will start the year of 2023 with an International Policy Forum seminar to discuss the political outlook for the coming year. We will be joined by Hideki Makihara, former State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (2017 - 2018), Stste Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (2019 - 2020), and a member of the House of Representatives, who will share his insights into what to expect on the political front in Japan for 2023.

As Prime Minister Kishida struggles to stabilise his position, can he stop the falling support rate or will we see leadership challengers in 2023? What will be the impact on the local and bi-elections scheduled for April and what can we expect and which movements oppositions side? What will be the outlooks for the G7 presidency of Japan? Will it become Kishida's legacy? Please join us to discuss these and many more questions with our political insider guest.
