GR Japan is pleased to invite you to a seminar, “Strategic Government Relations and Advocacy Seminar"  that will be held on 1 November 2016 at Kioi Conference in Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho.

With slowing growth in China, lingering uncertainty over the implications of Brexit, and growing doubts over ratification of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the global economy is facing a variety of headwinds and challenges.  Yet in the midst of global change, Japan seems to remain a haven of tranquility.  Japan's political leaders are pursuing a controversial but clearly defined strategy to a return the nation to economic growth and competitiveness, including many policies to open the country to more trade and foreign investment.  These changes, the push to prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the rapid growth of the public affairs sector in Japan, are opening new opportunities and reasons to engage with the Japanese government and political leadership to seize these emerging opportunities.  To thrive in today's fast-paced and competitive marketplace, it is as important as ever that businesses take the initiative to get involved in the reform processes, the creation of new rules that will define their business, and to engage relevant government stakeholders, whether as regulators, partners, overseers or customers.

This seminar brings together some of the world’s leading government relations and public affairs professionals, to share insights and global best practice.  This seminar should be of interest to anyone looking to engage government stakeholders as part of their business, both for companies looking to expand their business in Japan and for Japanese companies looking to take advantage of international opportunities.  Please see the attached for the order of the program.
